Telecommunication Systems
Telstraclear Ltd (Started in 2000, still ongoing)
This workforce is split into teams of 2, each having their own truck, compressor and any other equipment that is required to complete a telecommunications installation. Our achievements to date are;
  • Continuing with the complete residential underground installation setup for residential housing for Telstra-clear in Christchurch. This has principally been done by using underground thrusting methods, but also conventional machine trenching and some drilling.
  • The building of many TCL network extensions in the carriageway, mainly trenching, but some using horizontal thrusting/drilling methods.

  • The organisation and building of most TCL road crossings under all levels of roads in Christchurch.
  • Building business connections in the CBD, the largest being the underground placing of fibre through Cashel Arcade in Christchurch. This arcade is central, surrounded by many large buildings and businesses and hence absolutely full of underground cabling including foundations of disused tram tracks. The job was successful, on budget and on time.
  • We have our own asphalt and concrete reinstatement teams and equipment that ensure that we have total control of any job right through to its completion.
